I was going to Antalya, Turkey by plane and to do that I needed to first go to Istanbul airport and change plane to Antalya. So I did, with 50 minutes to find the second plane.
In Istanbul airport I was a bit stressed, because the plane had arrived 15 minutes late and there were no signs telling me where to go to take another plane (instead of leaving the airport). I have visited many airports and there were no logical way of understanding how to go. So I asked one staff, then another and then a third. The reason of this, was that noone of them talked or understood English.
Then, realizing I had barely 25 minutes left, before the second plane would depart, and I started to disturb by-passing passengers. Finally one person pointed at one direction. Really thankful I started to run to that direction. After 10 minutes I arrived to a new check-in. Quickly I prepared everything so I could pass it swiftly.
After passing check-in I was really late, with barely 10 minutes left to the second plane and I just took everything that was mine and run as fast I could.
After 5 minutes I arrived at the gate, sweaty and really exhausted. Wanted to take an extra look at my apple watch - to realize it was gone. I had forgotten it at the check-in.
I wanted to cry. I have a daily routine to count my steps with apple watch, and that routine is valuable for me, and it felt such a heavy loss.
I started to calculate in my head - should I try to run back and see if the watch was there (which to be honest felt not so likely, since the chance was high that many not so honest people had seen it - in the box where I had probably left it) and then very likely miss my plane. How much would a new ticket cost from Istanbul to Antalya? Would it be less then a new apple watch.
I realized my thoughts was not that clear, after all stress, and I stood there not knowing what to do. And now it was some minutes left.
Hey. Did you forgot your apple watch?
I turned around and looked at a man in a suit, with a smile. I could hardly say yes, and he continued quickly: I know where it is, but we have to hurry.
I told him my second plane were about to leave and he quickly went to the staff, talked to them quickly and then returned: No, you have time. Let’s go!
He started to run and I just followed. We came to the check-in, and he talked to the staff there, who took out my apple watch from their work place. I could not believe it! Then he waved at me, and we turned and started to go back. And half-way he stopped and said he must catch his own flight, and I could just hug him and thank him over and over until he smiled, turned around and left.
And I walked in disbelief back to my gate, where they were still waiting for the plane, and I then just realized that I had on the plane from Stockholm to Istanbul been reading about spirit guides…
Thankyou angel in suit and thankyou spirit guides…
